LT-AS001 Wind Tunnel
Wind tunnel is a core equipment in all aerospace and mechanical engineering fields. This subsonic wind tunnel is an air testing machine that monitored the behavior of air around different objects.
The tunnel can reach speeds up to 150 km/h and its test section is 40*40*60 cm. The air speed, density, pressure is monitored over computer screen and data can be plotted, along side with the x,y,z forces exerted on the object.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the principles of subsonic wind tunnels and their applications in aerospace and mechanical engineering.
- Learn how air behaves around different objects in controlled environments.
- Explore the measurement and monitoring of air speed, density, and pressure.
- Analyze the forces exerted on objects (x, y, z components) during air testing.
- Gain hands-on experience with data plotting and visualization of aerodynamic properties.
- Study the capabilities and limitations of a wind tunnel with speeds up to 150 km/h and a test section of 40x40x60 cm.
